How Much Money Do You Need for Travel?

Your travel budget depends heavily on your destination, style of travel, and how long you stay.

1. Budget travellers

Expect €40–€80 per day in cheap countries, more in Australia/NZ.

2. Mid-range travellers

€80–€150 per day for comfort, activities and private rooms.

3. Big factor: flights

Long-haul flights often make up 30–50% of your total budget.
